@MarcCarig It's also about money. They'd have to pay him handsomely in AAA due to his 2014 service time & CBA's max compensation reduction.

As I said before, #Mets 40-man roster down to 37, with the ejection of JV1. Knew this was coming. Roster flex critical, JV wasting spot.
It's no secret that Valdespin was not liked by people in the #Mets organization and players alike. One less distraction.

I have no bad thoughts about losing Valdespin...
But...
This is another one of those decisions that make you scratch your head..
Not because they let him go..
But... if they were going to let him go because they do not want him around....
why not let him go before when making room on the
40 man roster????
