A young, big, athletic prospect with projection remaining in that 6’4 frame. At the plate, Conticello has easy Plus-plus bat speed, a Strong Vertical Bat Angle (VBA), launch angle, great leverage, and extension. It’s a strong powerful swing that generates easy Plus Power Potential. Consistently showing in-game Exit Velos North of 100+ MPH with true GAP-GAP Pop, but doesn’t sell out for the power. Conticello does a fantastic job of controlling the barrel and going with where the pitch is thrown with an ability to adjust mid-at-bat. A SS currently, should see a natural slide over the 3B where he should grade as an Average Defender with Above-average Arm strength. Think of a more athletic Triston Casas with a more realistic 3B potential.

Big lefty swing with immense bat speed and loose actions at the plate and on the dirt. Conticello is super rotational at the plate, a la Cody Bellinger. Conticello will likely stay on the dirt where his big power should be an asset for any organzation, but he may be forced to third base due to his size. There's some similarities in the draft profile to 2020's Coby Mayo. Huge bat upside.

Among the best bat speed in the class. Super-rotational (think Bellinger) with natural loft and leverage. Suggests big future power. Quick, soft hands. Really manipulates a barrel.

Gavin Conticello is a 2021 3B/RHP, MIF with a 6-3 187 lb. frame from Coconut Creek, FL who attends Coral Springs Charter. Long and loose athletic build with lots of room to fill out and get stronger. Left handed hitter, hits from an open stance, fluid hitting mechanics that he repeats very well, gets extended and can drive the ball to the pull side, has hitter's hands and present bat speed, has a chance to really explode as a hitter when he gets stronger. 6.95 runner, has good arm strength from third base with carry on his throws. Bat has a chance to be special.

A consistent riser over the course of the summer, Conticello continued that at the WWBA World Championship, slashing .600/.636/1.200 over 11 PA’s. A left-handed hitter with consistent performance to his credit, Conticello has tremendous power projection with the potential to play on the left side of the infield long term, a very sought-after profile in terms of the draft.
