6. Enrique Bradfield, OF, Vanderbilt
Bradfield was the fastest player in the 2020 Draft as a high schooler and retains that title in 2023 after showing top-of-the-scale speed while stealing 93 bases in 99 attempts in his first two seasons at Vanderbilt, including a perfect 46-for-46 last year. A no-doubt center fielder and career .327/.433/.456 hitter, he's more on-base machine than power threat, though he did sock eight homers last spring after going deep just once as a freshman.

8. Miami Marlins
Enrique Bradfield, Outfield, Vanderbilt
The Marlins have seemingly rotated a million different names in and out of centerfield at loanDepot park over the past three seasons, a trend that needs to change. Bradfield brings a plus hit tool and 80-grade, elite speed that can be a difference maker, a dynamic tool all over the field. Bradfield brings athletic impact to the Marlins organization not seen since Dee Gordon, tacked onto game-changing defense in centerfield.
He may never hit double-digit homers, but neither did Kenny Lofton. The Marlins could use some contact skills at the top of their lineup and Bradfield has a chance to be the first draftee to see the big leagues, potentially as early as late-2024.

7. Enrique Bradfield
Centerfield, Vanderbilt
Speed, speed and more speed. If Enrique Bradfield isn't the fastest player in the country, he's in the conversation. Bradfield will never been a thumper, but he's got elite vision at the plate, hardly ever expands the zone and walks just about as much as he strikes out. His frame still has room to add some muscle, so it wouldn't surprise scouts if he ended up with enough juice to run into double-digit homers at his pro peak.
The story here, however, is a guy who really knows how to get on base and is a nightmare for the opposition when he runs. In the field, he's comfortably a plus defender in center with sublime routes to the ball and a comfort about his game, gliding to the spot. The profile fits somewhere between Jarrod Dyson and Kenny Lofton; a top-of-the-lineup dynamo.

7. Cubs: Enrique Bradfield, OF, Vanderbilt
Bradfield’s 80-grade speed has been well-known by scouts since his high school days, though there were questions about his lack of strength and ability to impact the ball. He’s never going to be known for power, though he did homer eight times in 2022. That might not matter given that he went 46-for-46 in stolen base attempts in 2022 and has 93 steals in two seasons at Vandy.

Enrique Bradfield Jr., OF, Vanderbilt
Bradfield possesses elite speed and projects as a quality top-of-the-order hitter in the pro ranks. The 6-foot-1, 160-pound left-handed hitter has a contact-oriented approach with a strong understanding of the strike zone and a proven ability to create disruption on the bases.
He is a well-regarded defensive center fielder who will remain at the position in pro ball. He runs quality routes and covers a lot of ground due to his speed.

You want a leadoff hitter with 80 speed? That's right. 80.
He also is projected to remain in center because he is an excellent defender out there.
46-46 steal stats.
Wow.
