There's several questions on Jordan's profile. On one hand, he's got a three pitch mix in a fastball, slider and changeup, all of which grade out as average. The slider can play up when spotted appropriately. The frame doesn't have a ton of projection left in it either. There's some command concerns as well. That said, he's performed well and has struck out more batters than you'd expect from the arsenal. Jordan was draft-eligible in 2020 but went unselected. He's your classic pitchability profile that could end up in a rotation as a fringe guy or that of a reliever that can work long innings.

Went 2-0 with a 1.71 ERA in four starts for the Gamecocks in 2020

 

Struck out 32 batters in 21 innings pitched, which was tied for eighth in the SEC

 

Was second in the conference with a .104 opponent's batting average

 

Pitched the SEC's only complete game, a five-inning, nine-strikeout performance in a win over Holy Cross (Feb. 16)

 

Allowed just seven hits in the 21 innings pitched

 

Earned the win over Cornell (March 8), striking out 10 and allowing two hits in five innings

 

Had nine strikeouts in six innings of work in a start vs. Northwestern (Feb. 23)

 

Allowed just one hit in five innings in a start against Clemson (March 1)
