January 21, 2021 – The results of the 2021 National Baseball Hall of Fame election will be announced exclusively on MLB Network on Tuesday, January 26 live at 6:00 p.m. ET, part of a four-hour announcement show presented by Camping World, which begins at 3:00 p.m. ET. For the first time ever, National Baseball Hall of Fame President Tim Mead will reveal the results live from Cooperstown, as voted by the Baseball Writers’ Association of America (BBWAA). MLB Network’s entire Hall of Fame program on Tuesday will be simulcast on MLB.com, and for the first time ever, in the MLB app on connected devices.
Anchored by Greg Amsinger, Brian Kenny and Lauren Shehadi, MLB Network’s comprehensive Hall of Fame election coverage will include analysis from 2018 Ford C. Frick Award winner Bob Costas, MLB Network analyst Harold Reynolds, Hall of Fame voters Ken Rosenthal, Joel Sherman, Susan Slusser and Tom Verducci, 2004 J.G. Taylor Spink Award winner Peter Gammons, 2019 J.G. Taylor Spink Award winner Jayson Stark and MLB Network host Christopher “Mad Dog” Russo.
As the exclusive home of the Hall of Fame election announcement since 2009, MLB Network’s live pre-announcement show will feature the following in-depth content:
- In a new essay, Tom Verducci details the 25-player ballot, which includes newcomers Tim Hudson, Torii Hunter and Aramis RamÃrez, among others;
- A conversation about the voting process and the returning candidates with Peter Gammons, Ken Rosenthal, Joel Sherman, Susan Slusser, Jayson Stark and Verducci;
- Exclusive new interviews with five-time MLB All-Star Torii Hunter and President of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum Bob Kendrick;
- Analysis of the voting trends for Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens, who enter their ninth year on the ballot;
- Discussion on Curt Schilling, including a new essay by Gammons on Schilling’s 20-year career;

Leading up to this Tuesday, Brian Kenny will host MLB Network’s MLB Now live from the National Baseball Hall of Fame for the first time ever on Monday, January 25 at 2:00 p.m. ET. Kenny will preview Hall of Fame election day, with Cliff Floyd and Ken Rosenthal contributing analysis from MLB Network’s studios in Secaucus, NJ. Following MLB Now on Monday, 2009 Ford C. Frick Award winner Tony Kubek will be featured in a new edition of MLB Network’s The Sounds of Baseball at 9:00 p.m. ET, co-hosted by Bob Costas and Tom Verducci. The tribute series to baseball’s iconic voices has featured Jack Buck, Harry Caray, Joe Garagiola, Curt Gowdy, Al Michaels, Vin Scully and Bob Uecker since launching in June 2020.
On Wednesday, January 27, MLB Network will cover the National Baseball Hall of Fame election results throughout its studio programming. The 2021 National Baseball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, July 25 and will air exclusively on MLB Network.
