It is a new day. In free agency, we got the Big Guy. The Mets never get the Big Guy. Ticket prices will go up and attendance will spike for the Greatest Show In Town. Team revenues will explode.

The only reason the Yankees were good last year was Judge AND Soto. Huge void in the Bronx, and Judge, who had a huge year in part because of Soto, turns 33 in April. Soto is 61/2 years younger, Yanks will have a hard time readapting. Huge loss for them.
Soto won't be Aaron Judge's age until the 2031 season. Just saying.

Can anyone breakdown the contract? I see some saying it would only count 46M against the cap? Someone also mentioned a signing bonus. It took me months to finally figure out Otthani's contact. Mack, any ideas.
Yankees were 2nd in MLB attendance in 2023 at 3.3 million. Mets were 17th at 2.3 million. I'd say the Mets jump to 700,000 up to 3 million. That's a lot of ticket-buying fsnnies.
Crazy thing is there's an opt out so he can make more money it's just beyond insane but as Sonny and Cher sang "The Beat goes on". Also Steves not done so Merry Christmas all!
