Ollie and Louie get the boot
Oliver Perez and Luis Castillo were owed a combined $18 million for 2011, but that didn’t stop general manager Sandy Alderson from dumping both in spring training, if for no other reason than attempting to placate an irate fan base. Perez and Castillo were glaring examples of money misspent during the Omar Minaya regime, with Jason Bay still on the books.
