FLASH - ''Army' Of Scouts on Backfields

The most interesting sight on the back fields for Mets minor-league intrasquad games Tuesday was not newly demoted Noah Syndergaard pitching. It was the army of Arizona Diamondbacks scouts, as well as one from the Seattle Mariners, that were on hand watching Mets prospects.

Logan Verrett reportedly has developed a sinker and is getting rave reviews for it. Combines his new plus sinker with his already plus slider and you have yourself an interesting right handed prospect.

Verrett and Plawecki for Gregorius?

I just talked to someone on those back fields and 'it' said that 'it' never seen so much action behind home plate... obvious interest in Verrett

Love that there is action like this all in our pursuit of a real SS. I've said it before and this will be my last time in that I could deal Plawecki until I know Travis Ar can hit major league hitting. Mack you put me in my place last time I mentioned this but ... Hoping Sandy is in line with my thinking. Whatever the outcome just don't show me Tejada in the lineup opening day.

Meant I say could NOT deal Plawecki above

Sugar, in your defense...the Mets have multiple problems when it comes to possible trades...

you just can't pick a SS off a tree and the Mets will not trade Thor or Montero...

regarding Plawecki, the Mets could have cold feet here...d'Arnaud is doing nothing to make the batting coaches happy

How's this for a possibility.....

Someone suggested to me:

"What if Texas was willing to trade Jurickson Profar for Noah Syndergaard?"

Alderson is as stubborn as they come... Thor and Montero are going nowhere
