Juan Uribe’s monstrous three-run homer in the fifth gave the Mets a 7-0 lead, but the Marlins rallied for six in the ninth and had the winning run at the plate when Jeurys Familia recorded then final out. Eric O’Flaherty, in his Mets debut, allowed four earned runs over two-thirds of an inning.

D-Backs beat the Nationals 11-4 to put the Mets 2 Games up in 1st place.  Mets have August 6th off.  They resume play August 7th in Tampa Bay.
