http://mlbdraftguide.com/ ranked the top 140 outfielders in the
draft. The top five were: Byron Buxton, David Dahl,
Albert Almora, Jesse Winker, and Victor Roache.
I assume the Roache ranking is post-injury. I’m particularly smitten this month
with Carrol, Texas’ Courtney Hawkins. Check it
out.

http://baseballdraftreport.com/ ranked the top eight catchers in the SEC.
They came in: Mike Zunino, Luke Maile, Michael
Williams, Dante Rosenburg, Brett DeLoach, Taylor Hightower, Drew Fann,
and Mitch Slauter. Nothing against the rest of
them, but Zunino is a man among boys here.

#27 Virginia
(7-4-1) produced 17 hits in their 14-6 victory at James Madison Tuesday. Senior 1B Jared King led
the way with a line of: 3-4, 1-R, 2-RBI. As usual, King stressed team:
“Mack, I'm
just really happy with how our team responded tonight. We've had a rough week
in terms of the way we were approaching the game and I think tonight we came
out and played Virginia baseball. I'm really just trying to continue to keep
things simple and not do too much and take what the game gives me.”

A
senior you need to keep your eye on is Florida’s Preston
Tucker. We all know him as a first baseball, but he’s playing right
field now. This is a big bat (5-HRs already this season) that could be a great
2nd round pick, especially if he knows his way around the outfield.

Rice
scored a run in the 8th inning of their Tuesday night game against Texas State, which was the first run that T-St gave up
after 57.2-innings. They fell short of the national record by 6.1 innings (1972
Arizona).
