Press Release - TV Schedule - 5 Games on SNY

Buffalo, N.Y., March 19, 2012 -The Buffalo Bisons, Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets, today announced their 2012 television schedule that will include the live broadcast of 49 games to be shown onTime Warner Cable SportsNet in Buffalo. The schedule begins with on April 7 against the Rochester Red Wings at Frontier Field (4:05 p.m.). The broadcast schedule includes 32 home games in high-definition on Time Warner Cable Channel 713 as well as 17 road games against the Pawtucket Red Sox, the Rochester Red Wings, the Syracuse Chiefs and the Toledo Mud Hens. After the initial telecast, all games will also be available for cable customers to view anytime onTime Warner Cable SportsNet on Demand - Channel 946. This will be the sixth consecutive season that Bisons games will air live on Time Warner Cable.


 The slate of games includes five games that will also air onSNY, the official television home of the New York Mets, Jets and the Big East Conference. The five games will air in the greater New York City area. SNY will begin their five-game Bisons schedule on Monday, June 11 against the Norfolk Tides (7:05 p.m.). The television home of the Mets will also show the Herd on July 16 (Toledo), August 13 (Pawtucket) and August 27 (Rochester). The Bisons’ July 2 game against Durham will be shown on tape delay on July 3 (2pm). 


 All games played at Coca-Cola Field will feature the play-by-play of “The Voice of the Bisons,” Ben Wagner, and the color commentary of Buffalo Baseball Hall of Famer, Duke McGuire. Road games will be commentated on by the respecting home team’s announcers. Highlights of the schedule include four games against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, the Triple-A affiliate of the New York Yankees (May 25, August 10, 23, 24) and three games against the Triple-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, the Pawtucket Red Sox (July 12, August 12, 13). The schedule also includes 12 of the Bisons 13 opponents they will face in 2012. The Bisons annual Key Bank Independence Eve Celebration on July 3 against Durham is on also the schedule as well as the club’s final home game of the season, August 28 vs. Rochester.
