An experience guy like Dusty Baker or an organizational guy with no major league management experience?

Gut is to go with Dusty or Buck.
Hopefully, Vientos and Mauricio have huge break out years in 2020.
If Dusty gets the call one can only hope for his guick demise. Don't need another old guy whether it's Buck or someother rethread.
Go outside the organization and sign Tim Bogar.
Would Brodie or Jeff let a veteran manager alone and let him do their job? Would a veteran manager come into a situation knowing that the lineup would be dictated to him?
I agree they should go with experience but who knows what these guys will do. They go for flash over substance and don't have a solid idea what they are doing.
No to Dusty.
I keep seeing him blow the WS for the Giants (& almost get his kid creamed at the plate) and watch his Reds bat out of order against Willie Randolph (who screwed that up too).
think Buck Showalter would make a great choice, his experience, not only as a major league manager, but in NY would be a huge plus, put I suspect he'd want to much control, think he'd actually want to name his own line ups. perhaps Eduardo Perez would be someone who could do a good job, and management might find acceptable.

Bogar is the right compromise. He has lots of minor league managerial success but green enough to take front office not picking.
I like Bogar for a lot of reasons. One is that the Nationals with Bogar as the first base coach run like crazy against the Mets. If he came to the Mets he may help the pitchers control the running game better.
