DOUBLEHEADER: The Ponies and Sea Dogs are playing their second doubleheader of the year against each other tonight. The two teams split a twin bill at Mirabito Stadium on August 4, with Portland winning Game 1 5-2, and Binghamton taking Game 2 8-2. The Ponies are 4-4 in doubleheaders this year.

GORDON'S GREAT!: Tonight's Gm. 1 starter Cole Gordon has allowed two hits over his last three starts (going at least five innings in all three). Over that span, he has walked three, struck out 28, with hitters hitting .038 against him. On Aug. 6 vs. Portland, Gordon went a career-high 7 scoreless innings allowing just one hit with a career-high 10 strikeouts.
