He allowed three runs (two earned) on 12 hits and has struck out 12 in those contests. That includes a complete-game, seven-inning shutout in game two of a doubleheader on July 9. The La Vega, Dominican Republic native struck out a season-high nine in that game. The 21-year-old was signed by the Mets as a non-drafted free agent in 2009.

Two Binghamton players tallied three-hit performances in the win.

B-METS/SEA DOGS SEASON SERIES: Portland was the only team in the Eastern League to beat Binghamton in their season series. The B-Mets dropped 12 of the 21 meetings. However, the boys from the Southern Tier have one seven of the last ten meetings this season, including playoffs.

B-METS IN GAME FIVE: The B-Mets are 1-1 in game fives in their history. They topped the Canton-Akron Indians in game five of the ELCS in 1992, but fell four years later on the road at Portland in the 1996 North Division Championship Series.
