Wilson Ramos to Tigers, $2M, 1 year
— Jon Heyman (@JonHeyman) January 27, 2021
Top of the catching market has been pretty stagnant. Mauer got $23M/year in 2010, Realmuto $23.1M 11 yrs later. Also: Mauer was 2 yrs younger but got 8 yrs vs 5. Other factors: Mauer was coming off an MVP and the pandemic brings $ uncertainty but Mauer was a year from free agency

Wilson Ramos one year, $2 million with Tigers. He would not have been the worst backstop at that price.
Gregorius might have to take a relatively low $$, 1 year deal with Phils? We need to watch out on overpaying for talent.
May Pete Crow Armstrong be MLB's # 13 overall prospect by 2022.
Pete looks great in all the videos posted on line. We just need to see him do it in same minor league games this Summer. I am thinking he will be headed to Port St. Lucie for low A ball games. If he earns a mid season promotion to Brooklyn, we may see him in Binghamton in 2022.
John, hopefully the Crow is ready Opening Day 2023. Probably mid 2023 is more realistic. Just needs ABs. And added strength.
PCA ≈ Kelenic?
Gus - Scouts are raving about PCA's defense like they don't about Kelenic. One Mets scout rated him as one of the best defensive prospects he has ever seen. Can he hit high level pitching? Hope we find out this Summer. I hope to see him play for Brooklyn.
Incredible that Scott Rolen being considered for the Hall of Fame. He basically was mediocre or worse after the age of 28. Check out his stats.
Rolen I should have said after age 29. And maybe not worse than mediocre, but pretty mediocre.
Keith Hernandez way more deserving than Rolen
John, I agree. Keith is one of the best Mets ever. A true winner.
On Rolen, look at his numbers, how they dipped after age 29. Then think of George Springer. More often than not, older guys (over 29 or 30) start to decline.
