East - DH
Brooks Lee (Cal Poly)
Lee was a top prospect coming out of high school as a shortstop at San Luis Obispo, and stayed home for college to play for his father at Cal Poly. He's definitely built on his prospect status in 2021, both as a Mustang, as a USCNT selection, and as a player for the Y-D Red Sox. Lee is as physical a shortstop as you'll see in the amateur ranks, and has a swing geared for power from both sides of the plate. Lee was among the most imposing hitters all summer, slashing .405/.432/.667 with six homers in just 88 plate appearances. While there may be concern that his body will force him to move to 3B as a pro, Lee has the instincts and arm to play short at present. An early favorite to go in the first round, Lee will look to add to his outstanding track record this year at Cal Poly.
Mack's spin -
Don't let the DH scare you. This guy can play short as well as hit this way.
Big, big draft prospect.
My 2nd SS.
8-23-21 - Perfect Game All-American Classic @PGAllAmerican
Robby Snelling (NV) with good athleticism and a quick arm here. FB T94 & comes out well, good feel for SL w/ bite in the low-80s
2021 Prep stats - 21 innings pitched, 40 strikeouts, 0.62 WHIP
Mack's spin -
Currently my 15th LHP.
9-9-21 - Prospects Live - 2022 MLB DRAFT - TOP 150 PROSPECTS -
130 Jonathan French
C Clemson
Lilburn, GA Big, strong, burly catcher with a great body to stick behind the plate. French has an all-fields approach and above average raw power that hasn't tapped into in-game.
8-23-21 -
Mack - I have Kevin Parada, Logan Tanner, and Hayden Dunhurst as my top three catchers here. Am missing anyone?
Daniel Susac is almost assuredly a better offensive prospect than Tanner or Dunhurst. Matt Wieters kind of player. Keep an eye on Johnathan French at Clemson and Jimmy Crooks at Oklahoma
Mack's spin -
Most of you know that I am a big fan of Clemson and follow this team all season.
French does it both... strong catching and serious hitting.
I am glad Joe recognized him here and not me.
My 6th catcher.

HYLAN HALL
Outfielder Washington State
Hall was an extremely highly regarded player out of high school in 2019, though he went undrafted despite the big tools. He decided against enrolling at the University of Miami and instead enrolled at Wabash College. He was draft-eligible again in 2021, though he went unselected and will now try his luck in Pullman, Wash. with the Cougs. Hall has a good arm, good speed and burgeoning power. The hit tool will ultimately dictate his ceiling in the 2022 draft. He performed well in 2021 with Wabash and many think the tools will translate into the Pac-12.
Mack's spin -
I have nothing more in Hall.
9-9-21 - Prospects Live - 2022 MLB DRAFT - TOP 150 PROSPECTS -
78 Mason Neville
OF
Basic
Las Vegas, NV Twitchy LH hitter with plus speed (6.28) and plus arm from the OF. Really athletic frame with plenty of projection. Another Arizona defect.
8-5-21 - Prospects Live
Mason Neville OF
His high school might be Basic, but Mason Neville certainly is not. (Please laugh). On a serious note, Neville is one of the top uncommitted players in this class, hailing from the state of Nevada. For starters, Neville’s DiamondKinetics testing was near the top, with his max barrel speed reaching 79 MPH and all three categories ranking in the Top 15 of the entire showcase. In workouts, Neville posted a very impressive 6.28 60 time and threw 92 MPH from the outfield. He’s got quick hands at the plate and racked up two hits in the showcase, both singles. He stole four bases throughout the event, as well. We like to think he won’t be uncommitted for much longer.
Mack's spin -
6.28 60 time and throws 92 MPH from the outfield.
Not on my board yet.
