Happy Thanksgiving to all. I wish for a complete FO so we can compete in the marketplace with other teams that are. Correct me if I'm wrong but are we the only team w/o a POBO AND a manager? Does Stevie really run his other business this way because as much as I love turkey I don't want our team to be one.
Sorry it's me again with another question: When was the last time you saw a player's wife who didn't look like she just posed for Playboy or Victoria's Secrets? Is it now built into a player's contract that were not aware of? I just accepted my QOer and it wasn't in my contract...dam.
Bob W, true on that. People are out more, so it spreads more, Delta is Delta, and Long Island keeps getting "foreign COVID imports", if you catch my drift, so the 0.3% positive test rate in late June is now 5.0% five months later. Thankfully, this Pfizer COVID pill will be out soon and likely a huge game-changer for those who now get it. 2022 with COVID being no worse than the flu for the whole country would be excellent.
Baseball-wise, Mack's got the bullseye plan approach.
I just want Cohen and Co. to know how good the upcoming hitters are and not block the excellent ones from having a position when they are soon ready. Pitchers have no such problem - you're good, you'll pitch.
Losing a Loup is a big loss. This team needs to shake that off and...dare I say it...Build Back Better, a term best left to baseball.
Mack did you really post "bust a move" earlier? thats "boss" from the boss and as far as Thanksgiving goes I can still feed and dress myself and hopefully you all can too:)
I am thankful for many things this year: 1) Health - the pandemic has been a scary reminder that health is everything 2) Steve Cohen - an owner that bleeds blue & orange, wants to make the team successful, and has the resources to do it. His intent to be transparent has led to some Twitter controversies, but he'll figure it out. 3) Francisco Lindor - yes he struggled at the bat coming out of the gate, but Piazza had a rough start too. I like his hustle, his on-field leadership, and his "almost gold" glove. Time will show that this was a good acquisition. 4) Pete Alonso - A refreshingly "real" superhero in the toughest market in sports. 5) The Binghamton AA franchise - newly signed to a deal that keeps them in the area till 2045 - that's a lot of baseball and a lot of prospects coming through. 6) Best for last: Mack's Mets - a truly entertaining site that values everyone's opinions.

Also what do you all think of the NYPost column "How the Mets can use Steve Cohens megabucks" ?

I really don't care about setting some other team’s table anymore.
Make your best offer and.move on to the next target.
Keep your draft picks and keep adding scouts and analytic needs.
Then bust a move in this International signing season along with the draft
Wait until the first player's husband shows up some day.
My wish is for an end to the COVID pandemic. Just when it seems we're out of it, it comes back again.

My first wish is for our readers, writers and families be HEALTHY in the year ahead. Thankful for the readership and the comments.
Not to go political here but pandemics don't end until everyone is vaccinated.

Based on the age of me and some writers here, we hope to just make it to next Thanksgiving.
Mack, I hear you. I'm negotiating a ten year extension for you, though.
Mack, you're just a "yoot" compared to me. I wish many more years of you producing this great site, and all of us to enjoy reading it.
As part of this, I hope that this is the beginning of a great new era for our Mets.
And beyond that, I hope that our country and the world can rise above all of the divisiveness and reach true peace and happiness.

Ya like that, huh?
