Is Jose Martinez that good? Could he have actually helped last year? I’m dumbfounded…

He always could hit. He made some nice plays in Right Field last year for Syracuse. Pitching in Winter Ball can vary night to night though so you have to take it with a grain of salt.

In normal years, he'd probably have a minor league deal by now. Guys like him may have to wait until the lockout is over. I think he could be a 4A player that could help a team if there is an injury.
