Mets Select Contract of Bisons’ Davis
Davis Led Herd with .364 batting average
The New York Mets today announced that they have selected the contract of Bisons INF IKE DAVIS prior to Buffalo’s 1:05 p.m. game against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees.
Davis, 23, hit .364 (12-33) with three doubles, two home runs and four RBI in 10 games with the Bisons. He also drew nine walks and ranked tied for best on-base percentage in the International League (.500). Davis reached base twice in every game for the Bisons but their April 13 contest in Syracuse.
Davis leaves the Bisons on a seven-game hit streak. Since April 11, Davis has averaged .348 (8-23) with six runs scored.
