Zach Lutz went 1-for-3 and drove in three runs and the Mets held of the Jupiter Hammerheads 6-5 on Friday at Digital Domain Park for their second consecutive win.
Cory Vaughn ripped his 15th home run of the season and finished 2-for-4 with an RBI.
T.J. Rivera went 1-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI. Alonzo Harris had two hits and a run scored while Travis Taijeron finished 1-for-3 with a run scored.
Erik Goeddel tossed 4 1/3 innings and allowed three runs and eight hits with five walks and three strikeouts.
Taylor Whitenton picked up his sixth win as he tossed 2 2/3 scoreless innings and struck out four.
Adam Kolarek allowed two unearned runs and struck out two to earn his 12th save of the season.
Vaughn hit an RBI single in the first inning to score T. J. Rivera and also launched a solo shot in the third inning to give the Mets a 3-1 lead.
The Mets had a three-run fourth inning to extend the lead to 6-1 after Zach Lutz hit a bases-clearing double to center.
The Mets will host the Bradenton Marauders on Saturday at Digital Domain Park at 6:30 p.m. Angel Cuan is the scheduled starter for the Mets.
