Our own Tony Plate brought up a very contrarian but fascinating viewpoint about how we evaluate Cy Young Award winners with wins somehow no longer factoring much into the decision. Several people commented (myself included) that there were numerous examples of 20-game winners who did not pitch particularly well. Dallas seemed to put a n awful lot of thought into his response:
