Hampton is a two way (WR, CB) football star for LSU who also showed mad skills on baseball at the prep level.
Most think he will turn pro once he is drafted by an NFL team which will knock him down on many baseball draft boards.

Hampton was a hot name over the summer for his loud, 105+ mph batted balls and his big time tools and model-friendly age at 17.9 on draft day. This spring, teams have continued to doubt his ability to hit, with a raw feel to hit that some think may never come all the way around, but the power/speed/defense to still project as a low-end regular without a 50+ hit tool. He's playing safety for LSU football as well, backing up likely first rounder Grant Delpit.

A WR/CB on LSU’s football team, Hampton’s development on the baseball field has backtracked and there’s some concerns in whether or not he’ll actually try to play baseball professionally, but the interest in Hampton out of high school was abundant and he received seven figure offers. A bleak freshman year with well below average exit velocities and a poor batter’s eye left little to talk about, but the two sport athlete has supreme athleticism and can play center field at the next level if his feel for the game can improve. Joining Hampton as a two-sporter is Jerrion Ealy, who plays both baseball and football at Ole Miss.
