3B/OF ANDREW FISCHER (OLE MISS TO TENNESSEE)

The Tennessee Volunteers were quiet on the transfer portal, and then, all of a sudden, they landed two of the top bats in the entire transfer class in Fischer and Kilen. We will start with Fischer, who provided some serious pop for Ole Miss.

Fischer began his collegiate career at Duke in 2023 before transferring to Ole Miss for his sophomore year.

Fischer is a bat-first prospect who generates a ton of power, as he’s seen max EVs up to 113 mph. Fischer generates most of his power to the pull side. He couples that with decent barrel-to-ball skills and the ability to get on base, as he sports a near 14% BB rate.

Defensively, Fischer’s home is a bit unknown because he’s a bit clunky at third base, but has the arm strength to handle the position if he can improve there. He should fill in nicely in the heart of the Volunteers lineup.

Andrew Fischer is a 2022 3B/MIF with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Wall, NJ who attends Wall. Taller and well proportioned frame with a very athletic look. Ran a 6.68 in the sixty yard dash. A primary infielder, stays balanced and controlled in with his approach. Good glove placement and works through the ball. Good arm strength that should stay on the left side.

A left-handed hitter, accelerates with the core and stays behind the ball. The barrel flies through the zone and the impact off the bat with real. On plane and looks to extend and elevate. High level hitting tools with very good power potential. Excellent student.
