Minor Rags: - Ike, Lutz, Andy Green... and Juan Lagares

Bisons:

It can be a trying time in a young player's life … the waiting game to get the call to the big leagues. Monday morning, media reports were circulating that Ike Davis was going to get his first shot with the New York Mets but the 23-year-old first baseman went about his day as if he would be playing first and batting fourth for the Buffalo Bisons. He took batting practice … then got the call to New York. He was inserted into the Mets' starting lineup Monday night against the Chicago Cubs and collected his first major league hit, a single, in his first at-bat. He finished 2 for 4 with an RBI in the Mets' 6-1 victory. - link

B-Mets:

Right fielder Ryan Kalish scored twice and drove in two more runs, as the Portland Sea Dogs handed the Binghamton Mets their third straight loss, 7-3, on Monday night at Hadlock Field. Zach Lutz was a bright spot for Binghamton, going 3-for-4 with a double in the eighth inning and an RBI single in the top of the first. But that 1-0 lead proved short-lived, as the Sea Dogs (6-5) scored five runs over the first three innings to take control. First baseman Lars Anderson factored into the outburst with an RBI single in the first and a solo homer to lead off the third. - link

Lucy:

Jermaine Curtis singled home Xavier Scruggs with the winning run in the bottom of the 11th inning as the Palm Beach Cardinals edged the St. Lucie Mets 6-5 on Monday at Roger Dean Stadium. Andy Green had two hits, including a home run and drove in three runs for the Mets. Angel Calero (1-1) took the loss. Curtis had four hits for the Cardinals. The win went Matthew Frevert (2-0). -

Gnats:

Juan Lagares greeted relief pitcher Julio Surinach with a home run to left field in the top of the sixth inning to lift the Savannah Sand Gnats to a 2-1 victory over the Rome Braves on Monday. Lagares also played a major role in Savannah's other run in the top of the fourth. He led off the inning with a triple and scored on a fielding error by center fielder Kyle Rose. The Braves only run came in the seventh when Christian Bethancourt led off with a double and scored on a double by Matt Kramer.- link
