baseball has a new hit king.
After
missing just one game in four years, after the late nights when LSU staffers
would see his Dodge Ram was the last one left parked in front of the batting
cages, after delaying his professional baseball career for one last run in
Baton Rouge, Antoine Duplantis has more hits than any other LSU Tiger in
history.
Duplantis
drove a hard single to center field for his 353rd career hit Sunday (June 2),
passing LSU legend Eddy Furniss as LSU’s all-time hits leader.

I like his swing and I'm excited to see if this kid is the real thing. We need more professional hitters and table-setters, for sure- especially if Nimmo's injury is going to be an ongoing thing...
