Star Power: 1B CJ Kayfus is a jack of all trades type of hitter. He can hit for serious power (8 homers last season) and has a special eye at the plate — he finished last season with 38 walks as opposed to 36 strikeouts. On top of that, he was 16 for 20 in stolen bases.

DiMare considers lefty-swinging CJ Kayfus one of the best all-around first basemen in the nation.
Kayfus led the Canes last season in hitting (.366) and steals (16-of-20). He is also elite defensively.
With Kayfus at first and Morales at third, that gives Miami championship quality on the corners.

CJ Kayfus
Miami
Kayfus is an undersized first base/outfield profile with sublime bat-to-ball skills and sneaky juice considering his size, some calling it average power with consistent barrel metrics. If he can prove to scouts he can handle more outfield in his future, his stock could soar. An above average runner, Kayfus can be an asset on the base paths as well. Ultimately, we're talking about a mature hitter here with more walks than punchouts for much of his college career and a guy that can fill up a baseball card.
