Game Notes - Binghamton vs. New Hampshire - 7pm

LAST GAME: Austin Krum stroked a two-out, two-run, walk-off triple off Erik Turgeon in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Trenton Thunder a 3-2 win over the B-Mets in the series finale on Sunday afternoon at Waterfront Park. Turgeon was handed a 2-0 lead in the ninth, but allowed back-to-back dou-bles to Jose Gil and Melky Mesa to start off the frame. The right-hander was saddled with his second blown save after walking the eventual game-winning run in Addison Maruszak and giving up the three-bagger to Krum. The blown save robbed B-Mets starter Jeurys Familia of his first Double-A win. The right-hander allowed just three hits and struck out six over seven stellar innings. Binghamton took advantage of a Jose Pirela fielding error and two walks from starter Dellin Betances to score a run in the third. The B-Mets added another score on Jean Luc Blaquiere’s bases-loaded single in the eighth.

STARTING PITCHING MATCHUP: RHP Brandon Moore makes his seventh start of the season and first against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. Moore comes off his shortest outing of the season, a 2.1-inning start against the New Britain Rock Cats on May 11. The right-hander allowed a season-high nine hits and gave up nine runs (five earned) in his first loss of the season.

RHP Joel Carreno will make his seventh start of the season and third against the B--Mets. Carreno comes off his strongest outing of the year. He tossed seven shutout innings and al-lowed just one hit in a win over the Portland Sea Dogs on May 11. The right-hander struck out seven and combined with two relievers in the one-hitter. In two starts against Binghamton this season, Carreno is 0-1 with a 6.10 ERA.

BLOWN SAVE REDUX: The blown save on Sunday afternoon was the B-Mets bullpen’s second in the series against Trenton and tenth of the season. As a team, Binghamton is second in the league in blown saves; trailing Altoona who own 12.

FAMILIAR TERRITORY: The B-Mets kick off their third series against the Fisher Cats at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium tonight. Out of Binghamton’s first 23 road games of the sea-son, nine will be played at New Hampshire. Binghamton is 2-4 this year in Manchester.

WALK-OFF LOSS: Sunday’s defeat was the fourth walk-off loss the B-Mets have suffered this season. The last came against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats on May 8 when Moises Sierra hit a bases-loaded infield single in the 9th inning of the second game of a doubleheader. Binghamton has not earned a walk-off win this season.
