B-Mets - Opening Day Around The Corner

The New York Mets know their Opening Day roster, now it's just a matter of time before the Binghamton Mets take shape. New York made six cuts late Friday and one more following Saturday's 11-0 loss to Baltimore, which ended the team's preseason schedule before Monday's opener against Florida. The moves trimmed the big league club's roster to the 25-man limit. Now the organization must divvy up the rest of its contracted players among its affiliates, starting with Triple-A Buffalo and Double-A Binghamton. While the B-Mets' roster likely won't be finalized until Wednesday or Thursday, when the Akron Aeros visit NYSEG Stadium for the 6:35 p.m. season opener, the bulk of the players will stream in Sunday. The team's first workout is slated for Monday.
