GRADE UP: Lucas Duda, Mark Cohoon, Chris Carter, and Marshall Hubbard

Lucas Duda - OF/1B - AA-Binghamton - I remember some of the Sand Gnats reporting a couple of years ago that the sweetest bat on the cyclones roater was Duda's... Lucas was a 7th round pick in the 2007 draft, out of USC. Three year totals to date: .277/.374/.422/.796, with only 24 home runs in 1,112 at bats. Duda was moved from first to the outfield and had a decent AA season last year, going .281/.380/.428/.808, with 53-RBIs in 395 ABs. So far this season, he leads all Mets organizationalplayers with 14 ribbys in only 34 at bats.

Mark Cohoon - SP - A-Savannah - Cohoon is off to a great start, going 2-0, 0.77, 1.03 in 11.2-IP. He was one of the Cyclones' aces last season posting 9-2, 2.15, in 14 starts. Mark was the 12th round pick in 2008, out of North Central Texas College.

Chris Carter - OF/1B - AAA-Buffalo - Carter has risen to the top hitter on a hot Bisons team, going .360/.429/.760/1.189 in his first 25 at bats. This is the fourth year in a row he has put up the numbers in AAA and I frankly don't know what it's going to take for him to get a call to the Bigs.

Marshall Hubbard - 1B - AA-Binghamton - Hubbard was an off-season pick up after playing six seasons for the Seattle Mariners. He was an 8th round pick in the 2004 draft, out of North Carolina, and, although he has put up some decent minor league numbers (.280/.376/.451/.827 in 2,296-ABs over six seasons), he has never played above the AA level and turned 28-years old this month. He currently leads the B-Mets in hitting, going .424/.472/.697/1.169, in his first 33-ABs.
