MINOR RAGS: - C's, Dickey, Nicky, Lucas, Kai... and Jimmy

Bisons:

Chris Carter stood in the on-deck circle during the eighth inning just one home run away from recording the first cycle at Coca-Cola Field in 12 years. The only thought on his mind was parking one into Heron's Landing. But as he approached the batter's box Carter's mental approach shifted as quickly as a R.A. Dickey knuckleball. "It was just good technique, relax and my mind was clear," Carter said. "In the on-deck circle I was (thinking about a home run) but in the batter's box I wasn't." - link

B-Mets:

With the buses warming and the temperatures falling, Nick Evans drove home the winning run in the 13th inning Wednesday night to give the Binghamton Mets a 4-3 victory and three-game sweep of the Erie SeaWolves at NYSEG Stadium. Both teams had long, overnight travels ahead of them, but it took 3 hours, 47 minutes to first decide a winner. With two out and runners on first and second, Evans punched a single to left field, allowing Jose Coronado to turn for home from second and slide safely under catcher Jeff Kunkel's tag. - link

Lucy:

Third baseman Richard Lucas hit a two-run double and Eric Campbell hit a two-run home run in the fourth inning to lead the St. Lucie Mets (3-3) to a 5-4 win over the Palm Beach Cardinals at Digital Domain Park on Wednesday night. The win went to reliever Angel Calero, who pitched 2.2 innings and struck out five. He gave up two hits and one unearned run. - link

Gnats:

The lone run scored in the third inning when Hector Sanchez led off with a double. Fuller uncorked a wild pitch, but the ball ricocheted off the cement wall behind home plate, right back to catcher Gronauer, whose hurried throw to third sailed into left field. Savannah's best scoring chance came in the eighth against Jackets' reliever Jose Casilla. Gronauer blasted a drive to left field that appeared gone when it left the bat. But, as if a force field surrounded the left-field wall, the drive didn't carry and hit the wall for a double. The next two Gnats struck out to end the threat.  Gronauer was the only player in the game with two hits.
