Bradenton (30-43) smacks St Lucie (39-33) 6-4 in 12 innings.

Tim Byrdak pitched another perfect inning of relief. (1 K)
Chase Bradford (2 H, 4 K) and T.J. Chism (3 H, 2 BB, 2 K) each pitched 2 scoreless innings. Unfortunately, Randy Fontanez, called upon to hold the Marauders in the top of the 12th, gave up 2 R on 2 H, with 2 K, to absorb the loss.

The K-Mets again got exceptional pitching. This time it was Chris Flexen: 4.0 IP, 1 R, 0 ER, 3 H, BB, 6 K. He was followed by Edioglis Villasmil, (W, 1-0) who allowed only 1 BB with 1 K in 3.0 innings of work. Ricardo Jacquez (S, 1) pitched 2 perfect innings with 4 K to close out the game.

Bradley Marquez: 1-4, 2B, RBI, R.
GCL Cardinals (2-1) slam GCL Mets (0-3) 6-0.
Lenny Rosario (L, 0-1) started, and was slammed for 5 R, 5 H, 2 BB and got 4 K in 3.1 IP.
Yoryi Nuez (2.0 IP, BB, K) and Gaither Bumgardner (1.0 IP, K) held the Cardinals hitless ‘til the end of the game. Bumgardner was the Mets 23rd round pick in this year’s draft.
