Sports Media: Report: 2020 minor-league season to be canceled. “Joe
Doyle of SB Nation has reported that agents have been notified that there will
not be a 2020 minor-league baseball season. Major League rosters will be
expanded for the condensed season, and that there will be a developmental
league based at spring training sites for minor leaguers. It’s unclear whether
the developmental league will include all minor-leaguers or only those at
higher levels of ball.”

baseball, leaving the Quintana Roo Tigers of the Mexican League. The 49

the Phillies, Indians, Rangers, White Sox, Brewers, Rays, Braves, and Mets.

2017 - Anthony Rendon has a game for the ages as he goes 6-for-6
with his first three homers of the year and drives in 10 runs to lead the Nationals to a 23 - 5 drubbing of the Mets. He joins Walker Cooper as the only two players ever to have 6 hits
and 10 RBIs in one game. Bryce Harper scores 4 runs to give 32 in April, a new
major league record, and Matt Wieters has a pair of homers among his three hits.
It is the most runs in franchise history for Washington. Worse for New
York, Noah Syndergaard leaves the game in the 2nd after experiencing
arm pain.

I watched that AAA Dickey game where he retired 27 straight - cold and miserable, but he was on fire. It was the night I started to wonder if he could start for the Mets and be successful.
Minor leagues - I'd be OK with developmental leagues and everyone playing, but I wonder if there is enough capacity.

Yes, Fregosi was done at 30 when the Mets traded for him. I also have Stroman and Matz on my 2023 roster...plus Cano who will still be making $23 million.
Just for shiggles, I looked up the Atlantic League website to see if they had any plans for their season. Just delayed at the moment. The L.I. Ducks are having an "Opening Day at Home" promotion today. I didn't spend the time to look into it.

Darryl Boston was signed on this day. One of the few underrated Mets of the early 1990s. Remember him being a solid player.
My one memory of Jim Fregosi. I went to a game in 1972 with my mom and dad. It came time for the top of the ninth inning in a close (tie?) game. The Mets took the field, and the SS, 2B and 1B took their normal warm-ups. Fregosi stood a third, combing his hair. The first batter hit a grounder that went right through Fregosi's legs, and lead to a Met loss.
