spoiled after retiring the first 20 Chicago batters by Alex Rios' infield

nose, and continues to pitch despite the blood oozing on to his face.

In the Mets' 6-3 victory over the Padres at, 42 year-old
Bartolo Colon goes deep off James Shields, becoming the oldest player to hit
his first major league home run. The portly right-hander, who has now
collected three extra-base hits during his 19-year career, surpasses Randy
Johnson, who was two years younger when he cleared the fences in 1993 while
playing for Arizona.

Belfast native Patrick Conlon becomes the first Irish-born player to
appear in a major league game in 73 years when he starts, going 3. 2 innings
in the Mets’ 7-6 victory over the Reds at Great American Ball Park. The 24
year-old southpaw, known as PJ, follows fellow countryman Joe Cleary, who was
born in Cork and played one game for the Senators in 1945.

That Bartolo HR was an all time classic to watch - an incredibly joyful, other-worldly moment. It was a totally unexpected BOMB.

- sometimes, I wonder how guys like Nido take so long to figure stuff like this out. We'll see how successful he is in 2020. Hopefully, very successful.
It was a great shot. Hope we haven't see the last of Bartolo. He could pitch to 60!
I am hoping Nido turns it around in the bigs - especially before they release/trade him. It is a wonder he had the success he did in the minors. He was a solid gap hitter in AA when I saw him in Binghamton.

Does MLBPA have to vote on any plan that MLB that puts on the table for 2020?
If that vote yes, to play and a player does not want to play, what would happen to that player?
Raw, On the first question, I think MLB wants players to take a pay cut deeper than the pro-rated one they agreed to in March.
Not sure about the second but some players have already requested that they not play in certain circumstances for example in quarantined environments where they can't see family.
And who would have thought that Chris Flexen was ever going to make the headlines again?
