Tom Brennan: It Doesn't Get Any Easier, No Sir, By No Means

"General, I see danger up ahead."

So, the hitting constrained Mets seem to finally be breaking out a bit.

They were 0-5, now they are 4-6. That's a relief.  But...

They need to break out more, and with real desperation.

You see...

The next 12 games?

First, Atlanta, in Atlanta, for 3 games.

 - After last night's nailbiter win, the Braves are 6-3.  And still fierce.

Then comes what would have been a relatively doable 3 series stretch

- in 2021, or 2022, or 2023:

KC Royals (3 at home), Pittsburgh (3 at home), Dodgers (3 on the road).

Problem is, this is 2024.

The Royals are 6-4.

The Pirates are 9-2.

The Dodgers are 9-4.

So the records of the 4 teams they face over the next 12 games?

30 wins, 13 losses.  Egads.

Those McNeil, Lindor, and Alonso bats better wake up, starting today:

- Desperate times.  You've had your 11 game snoozer, fellas. Wake up.

- And JD Martinez better get here quick, and hit like JD Martinez.

- - Gotta fight fire with offensive fire.

- And Senga needs to get back here, pronto.

D J, you're wrong. Nimmo looked SPECTACULAR..

He said he's hit in some bad luck. He is the least of my worries.
