TODAY’S GAME: Tonight, the Bisons host the Indianapolis in the third game of a four-game series at Coca-Cola Field (7:05 p.m.). The Herd was victorious last night over the Indians, 6-4. Buffalo is 3-3 so far on an eight-game homestand that began with a four-game split with Lehigh Valley. After Sunday, the Bisons will travel to Gwinnett for the start of an eight-game roadtrip.

vs. THE INDIANS: The Bisons trail the Indians 4-2 in the season series. Indy won a four-game set over the Herd at Victory Field, May 6-9. The Bisons haven’t won a four-game set over the Indians since they took three of four at Indy from June 28 - July 1, 2004. Since then, the Herd has five splits and six series losses to Indianapolis (16-28 record).

THIRD TIME’S THE CHARM: OF VALENTINO PASCUCCI snapped an 0-13 skid at the plate last night in a big way. The Bisons’ slugger belted three home runs for the Herd, including a monster three-run shot that cleared the 60-foot tall left-field screen. It is the first three-homer game for the Buffalo since C DUSTY WATHAN touched all the bags three times on June 2, 2005 and it is only the third time the feat has been accomplished in the history of Coca-Cola Field. Pascucci now has 200 homeruns in his minor league career, ninth on the active list.

GEE-MAN: With RHP DILLON GEE has been a difference maker for Buffalo this season. The team is 9-4 (.692) is his starts, tied with LHP PAT MISCH for the best record on the team. The righty also leads the ballclub in wins (6) and strikeouts (68), holds a share of the lead in starts (13) and is second on the team in quality starts (7).

TEARIN’ IT UP: C JOSH THOLE has been on fire over the last week. In seven games, the catcher is batting .440 (11-25) with four doubles, a homer, three RBI and four runs scored. His on-base percentage over the span is .500 and his slugging percentage is .720. Thole is currently on a five-game hit streak where his numbers are even better. The Bisons’ hitter is batting .529 (9-17) with a .600 on-base-percentage and .882 slugging percentage over the past five contests.
