TODAY’S GAME: This afternoon, the Bisons host the Indianapolis Indians in the final game of a four-game series at Coca-Cola Field (1:05 p.m.). The Herd needs a win today to earn a split of the four-game series with Indy. Buffalo is 3-4 so far on an eight-game homestand that began with a four-game split with Lehigh Valley. The Bisons open up an eight-game roadtrip tomorrow in Gwinnett.

vs. THE INDIANS: Today is the final contest between the Bisons and the Indians this season. Indy won the season series as they are ahead 5-2 heading into today’s finale. Even with a win today, the Bisons can earn just a split of the four-game set in Buffalo. That means the Herd is still without a series victory in their last 12 four-game sets against Indianapolis.

ROLLING STONE: RHP TOBI STONER dominated the Indians in a start at Victory Field on May 8. Stoner struck out a season-high eight batters and allowed just one run in six innings as the Bisons defeated Indy, 4-3.

ROSTER MOVE: OF JORGE PADILLA makes his first Bisons start today after being acquired by the Mets yesterday. Padilla hit .330 (61-185) with four homers and 27RBI in 50 games for the Toronto’s Triple-A affiliate in Las Vegas. Last year, Padilla led all full season minor leagues over the first four months of the season with a .367 (114-311) average with Syracuse. Promoted to Washington on August 5, 2009, Padilla fell just 38 plate appearances shy of winning the International League’s batting championship last season.
