Taylor Jungmann:
6-11-10 from: - link - Taylor Jungmann, Texas, 3.79 FIP, 9.78 K/9, 3.20 BB/9 - While Gerrit Cole is the best pitcher in this draft class, it would have been unfair to sink Jungmann into the article, as he’s a likely top ten overall pick next year, too. There was a great article detailing Jungmann’s arsenal at Prospect Insider this spring: 92-96 mph with the fastball (he’s touched 99 in the past), power 80 mph breaking ball, and a developing “screw-change”. He has the perfect pitcher’s build, and under Augie Garrido at Texas, the best experience that three years in college can buy.
Zach Lee:
6-9 from: - link - Louisiana State University football coach Les Miles said on Tuesday that Zach Lee, a quarterback recruit and right-handed pitcher whom the Dodgers on Monday took at No. 28 overall, had enrolled in summer school and was not planning to break his commitment to the university.
Anthony Rendon:

Corner Infield - Best Player: Anthony Rendon, 3B, Rice, .394/.530/.801. I wanted to start with the likely 2011 #1 overall pick, who followed up the best freshman season in Rice history (.388/.461/.702), with probably the best offensive season the school has ever seen. A very good defender and good baserunner, Rendon does not have a discernible hole in his game. His 21.5 BB% is more reflective of the fear he strikes in opposing teams, and rightfully so. Rendon is worthy of Orioles fans to begin rooting against their team.
Matt Purke:
6-11 from: - link - The series was billed as a pitcher’s dual and game one of the 2010 NCAA Austin Regional didn’t disappoint as Matt Purke and Tyler Lockwood led the No. 5 TCU Horned Frogs to a 3-1 victory over No. 2 Texas. Purke struck out 11 and limited the Longhorns to just three hits. In 7 2/3 innings pitched, the left-handed freshman allowed just one run on three hits. He walked one, hit a batter and fanned 11 to improve to 14-0 on the season. Tyler Lockwood retired all four batters he faced to lock down his sixth save of the season.
Anthony Meo:
6-12 from: - http://thecollegebaseballblog.com/2010/06/11/ncbwa-announces-district-players-of-the-year - Nine of college baseball’s finest student-athletes have been named 2010 National Collegiate Baseball Writers of America District Players of the Year, as the NCBWA announced these 11th annual awards today. One was District IV: SP Anthony Meo (Coastal Carolina) - Meo has been the mainstay on a Coastal Carolina staff, which helped CCU roll to the national lead in overall victories with 55 in its first 63 games this season. He is tied for first place in NCAA individual pitching wins with 13 (13-2) to go along with a 2.63 ERA, 16 starts 95 2/3 innings pitched, 80 hits allowed, 94 strikeouts, 34 walks, and 2010 All-America laurels. The sophomore right-hander from Cranston, N.J., was named Big South Pitcher of the Year and hopes to pace the Chanticleers to a first-ever appearance in the NCAA World Series if they can get past Southeastern Conference power South Carolina. He is a solid candidate for the CBF 2010 Pitcher of the Year as well.
