LAST GAME: Harrisburg pitchers combined to strike out a


season-high 17 men en route to a 7-1 over the B-Mets Thursday


night at NYSEG Stadium. Tom Milone led the way for the


Senators with 12 strikeouts over 6.1 innings to pick up the


win. He allowed just a run on seven hits for his eighth win.


Jose Coronado accounted for the B-Mets lone run off the lefty


with a leadoff homer in the first inning, his sixth of the season.


Chris Schwinden made the start and last four-plus innings and


exited on the hook after giving up five runs on 10 hits. Coronado


led the way for the B-Mets offensively with a season-best


three hits and was joined by Sean Ratliff, who also had a


three-hit showing. Harrisburg outhit the B-Mets 16-9 and were


led by Josh Johnson and Jesus Valdez, who both drove in a


pair of runs with three hits each. The Senators swept the three


-game set.



STARTING PITCHING MATCHUP: LHP Robert Carson will make


his fifth start of the year for Binghamton in search of his first


win. He has lost four consecutive starts including his last one,


July 31 at Erie, when he allowed six runs on eight hits over 4.2


innings. Carson is 0-4 with a 9.61 ERA over 19.2 innings with


Binghamton. The southpaw made 17 appearances in the


Florida State League and went 7-5 with a 4.17 ERA over 86.1


innings. He made 25 starts for Savannah (Low-A) in 2009 and


tallied an 8-10 mark with a 3.21 ERA over 131.2 innings to


garner South Atlantic League All-Star status. Carson was selected


in the 14th round of the June 2007 draft out of Hattiesburg


HS (MS).



RHP Andrew Brackman is due to make his ninth start for Trenton.


He has garnered decisions in all of his starts, including a


loss in his last go-around July 31 versus New Hampshire.


Brackman allowed six runs on seven hits over 5.1 innings to


land the loss. He is 2-6 with a 4.40 ERA over 43 innings with


the Thunder. Brackman opened the season with Tampa (High-


A) where he was 5-4 with a 5.10 ERA over 12 starts (60 IP)


with 56 strikeouts. He spent 2009 with Charleston (Low-A)


and went 2-12 with a 5.91 ERA over 106.2 innings. The Yankees


drafted him in the first round (30th overall) in June 2007


draft out of North Carolina State.
