Bisons Activate OF Fernando Martinez
Herd Places OF Jorge Padilla on DL
The Buffalo Bisons today announced that they have activated OF FERNANDO MARTINEZ. The outfielder was optioned by the Mets on Thursday.
Buffalo also announced that OF JORGE PADILLA has been placed on the team’s disabled list, retroactive to August 19.
Martinez was promoted to New York on August 7 and hit .167 (3-18) with two RBI in seven games. With the Herd this season, Martinez has hit .255 (63-247) with 16 doubles, 12 home runs and 33RBI in 68 games
Padilla was injured on Wednesday night in the Bisons’ game against the Rochester Red Wings. The outfielder was hitting .313 (50-160) with 10 doubles, two home runs and 22RBI in 48 games with the Herd.
