The Bulls had too much offense for the Bisons to handle on Sunday afternoon.
Durham put together big rallies in three straight innings to defeat the Bisons 12-6 at Coca-Cola Field.
The Bulls scored four runs in the third inning, three in the fourth and five more in the fifth for their sixth straight win over the Bisons.
Eleven of the 12 hits by Durham on Sunday came in the three-inning span. Tim Beckam and Henry Wrigley had RBI-singles in the third inning as the Bulls made quick work of an early 1-0 Bisons lead.
In the top of the fourth, the Bulls scored three more runs. The highlight of Durham's fourth was an RBI-single by Jesus Feliciano and a two-run single by Tim Beckham to bump the Bulls' lead to 7-2.
In the top of the fifth, the Bulls blew the game wide open for five runs. Cole Figueroa and Henry Wrigley each drove home a pair.
The loss for Buffalo went to Jeurys Familia, who is now an even 5-5 on the season. Pedro Beato pitched three shutuout innings in relief for the Bisons.
The Herd actually outhit Durham 15-12 for the contest. Josh Satin had a two-run home run in the seventh and Josh Rodriguez had a pair of hits and two runs scored.
BISONS NOTES: Raul Reyes went 2-4 with a run scored at the plate to extend his hit streak to five games... Matt Den Dekker provided another extra-base hit for the Herd with an RBI double in the third inning. Since his promotion from Binghamton, eleven of his sixteen base hits have been for an extra-base hit.
