Well after
a just freaking brutal night at work and an abysmal weekend of Mets baseball I
wanted to get a post up in regards of my thoughts of the entire series vs. the
Braves. Overall I’m going to come out and just say this; I hate the Mets bullpen
except for Parnell. Byrdak and now Edgin. Everyone else has either just been
inconsistent (Ramirez) and others are just total bums (Batista and Rauch) I
just want to see Rauch DFA’d and The Mets to just freaking call up Acosta at
this point, and I’m sure we will end up seeing Mejia up here as well as the
Front Office will try and pass these guys off as bullpen help instead of acquiring
some real help (Myers, Street, Lyon).
The
Mets bats were actually decent the 1st two games of the series and
in all reality if Chris Young had given us a decent outing we might win game 1,
as for game 2…that’s the one that was a real kick in the balls. The Mets manage
to scratch out 7 runs on a day David Wright gets the golden sombrero with his 4
k’s and Dickey gets hosed on a iffy call where Martin Prado was awarded 2nd
base despite the dipshit being tagged out while he was taking a stroll back to
1st base . The Mets looked to be in position to steal game 2 and I
liked what Bob Geren did in trying to navigate his way to Parnell (Yes Bobby did blow the save) I however, didn’t
agree with a Bobby Parnell 5 out save
attempt though I guess the Ramirez alternative wasn’t to enticing to Geren so
hindsight is 20/20.
I’m not
going to even discuss game 3 all you need to know is this:
Johan Santana got lit up..Again
CB Buckner is a douche bag umpire with an inconsistent strike
zone
Ruben Tejada is good
No one likes Andres Torres despite him having a good series
And the Mets bats got shut down by a fat Ben Sheets (Really?
If this was 2008 it’d be understandable)
In
conclusion, The Mets did the one thing they couldn’t let happen by getting
swept in ATL and Watched the Braves Hug
it out all over them (seriously wtf is with all the bro hugs in ATL?) Hopefully
the Mets will bounce back in Washington and can salvage something from this
abysmal experience and we get some damn pen help and a 5th starter ….LETS
GO METS!

(I've been under the weather... thanks for having my back, Pedro)
The real test begins tomorrow. The next three season may change your Lets Go Mets to Let's Come April...
