Tom Brennan - SOME TEAMS ARE GOOD ENOUGH TO LOSE

I like a lot of things the Mets have done this year:

Somehow, this team is 3.5 games behind the Marlins.

Kind of like being behind the '62 Mets.

The Marlins being the team that was:

1) Decimated by COVID

2) Expected to be lousy to begin with

LOL...SMH.

Are you shaking your head, too?

They are done, IMO.

Granted, they have had some poor luck with injuries and performance issues, but they seem to
lack any sort of spirit or motivation (or maybe that's just my take).

It's almost like they are just getting the season over with so they can move onto what's next. COVID hasn't
helped, but every team has the same challenges and some have managed to overcome and play decent
baseball (like your Marlins example).

Losing Thor and Stroman from the rotation tore the guts out of the rotation.

Time to evaluate who will be worth keeping as 2021 gets closer, to include BVW.

New owner, new direction, fresh start in 2021........I am ready for a change.

You can't make the playoffs by losing games.

Rest the core bodies.

Mike, I am ready for changes too.

Losing Stroman is not quite accurate IMO...he bailed on the Mets, as I see it. Were he here, they make the playoffs and could have been formidable.

I am not happy with him.

BTW, a family member’s son in 12 yr old ball said his team faced Stroman’s little brother, who was throwing 70.
