Now I have never watched a baseball game with the MUTE button firmly pressed on my remote, but Joe Buck and Tim McCarver forced my hand. All this FOX broadcast was missing was Joe Morgan doing color commentary from the dugout and I would have had enough reason to stop watching baseball entirely.

Joe Buck's utter lack of talent allows baseball fans to appreciate the few good color men in the business, and the young gun the Mets have that they can brag about is Kevin Burkhardt. For many an SNY broadcast, Kevin has been the one saving grace and I bet some years down the road, he'll be the full-time play-by-play man for some MLB club....hopefully the Mets recognize his talent and keep him around as long as they can
