After tonight’s Syracuse Mets game, Chad Kreuter held a zoom
call with reporters.

Brandon
Nimmo: The plan is that he stays with Syracuse tomorrow
Friday and Saturday. (Brandon went 0 for
3 and played 3 innings in the field in tonight’s game.)
Regarding Thomas Szapucki tonight, Chad Kreuter rated his performance "very strong"..."just one bad pitch"...has to work on pitch selection, location, knowing his strengths...but as he showed last weekend against Luke Voit...he can get good hitters out.
Regarding Sam
McWilliams - Chad said he was both "close and far
away"...tremendous stuff...just needs to get more efficient...needs to
keep fastball above belt..."it will come".
Injury update - Corey Oswalt
"getting close"...will throw live bullpen and then against
hitters...before getting back into a game.
Injury update. Harol Gonzalez - Tommy John surgery last week went well. Now he starts the standard 16 month recovery period.
