Bisons Place LHP Daniel Herrera on Disabled List
RHP Brad Holt Promoted from Binghamton
April 15, 2012 –The Buffalo Bisons announced that LHPDANEIL HERRERA has been placed on the disabled list today with a left elbow sprain (retroactive to April 13). With the roster space, RHPBRAD HOLT has been promoted from Double-A Binghamton.
Holt will be active for today’s game against the Pawtucket Red Sox. He will wear #51.
Holt, 26, was the New York Mets first round (supplemental, 33rd overall) pick in the 2008 draft. He’s made three relief appearances for Binghamton this season, posting a 7.71ERA in 2.1 innings of work (3H, 2R, 2ER, 2BB, 5K).
Holt spent all of last season with Binghamton and was 8-8 with a 4.71ERA in 34 games and 13 starts (93.2IP, 74K). This is Holt’s first stint at the Triple-A level.
Herrera has posted a 1.50ERA and one save in three relief appearances for the Bisons this season (6.0IP, 3H, 5K).
