Catcher Jean Luc Blaquiere Promoted to Bisons
Satin Placed on Mets’ 24-Hour Taxi Squad
April 14, 2012 -The Buffalo Bisons today announced that CJEAN LUC BLAQUIERE has been promoted from Single-A Brooklyn. INF JOSH SATIN has been placed on the New York Mets’ 24-hour taxi squad.
Beginning in 2012, Major League teams can place minor league players on a 24-hour taxi squad for potential promotion. This allows other moves to be made so that minor league teams can remain at full strength for their games.
Blaquiere, 26, has not played yet in 2012. Last season, he played 47 games with Double-A Binghamton and hit .229 (27-47) with six doubles, two home runs and 14RBI. Blaquiere played six games with the Bisons during the 2012 campaign and hit .31* (7-22) with three doubles, two home runs and five RBI.
Satin began the 2012 season with the Bisons and hit .250 (7-28) with two doubles, a home run and four RBI in eight games.
