TODAY’S GAME: Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons face the Rochester Red Wings in the second game of a three-game series from Coca-Cola Field (7:35 p.m.). The Herd is on a three-game winning streak after a shutout victory last night. The Bisons are now 25-16 at home this season (.610 winning pct.). Following this series, Buffalo will travel to Syracuse for a four-game set with the Chiefs.

vs. RED WINGS: With last night’s win, Buffalo has taken a 2-1 edge in their season series with Rochester. The Herd split a two-game series with the Wings at Frontier Field, April 21-22. Last season, the Bisons were 6-10 against Rochester, including a 3-5 mark at Coca-Cola Field.

OF LUCAS DUDA has homered in four straight games. The Triple-A rookie hit a two-run shot on Monday in Charlotte and a solo shot in each of the past three games. If Duda homers again tonight, he’ll become just the fifth Bison to ever homer in five straight games. The last to do it was Andy Marte on June 15 (2)-19, 2006. Buffalo Baseball Hall of Famers Ollie Carnegie (1938), Carlos Garcia (1992) and Bill Selby (1998) also accomplished the feat. Duda has also reached a five-game hitting streak, averaging .438 (7-16). Overall, Duda has averaged .310 (17-55) with five homers and 12RBI in his first 15 games with the Herd. The outfielder has a hit in 13 of the 15 contests since being promoted from Double-A Binghamton.

LHP PAT MISCH takes the mound for tonight’s game. On Monday, Misch was selected to the 2010 International League All-Star Team. Misch has more wins (7) than any other lefty in the IL and is fifth in the league with 96.1 innings of work. The Bisons are 11-4 when he takes the mound. The southpaw has won his last two starts, including a victory in Charlotte on Sunday with six innings of two-run baseball.

In his first game back with the Herd in almost three months, INF LUIS HERNANDEZ hit a team season-high three doubles in last night’s victory. Hernandez began the year with the Herd and played two games. Since then, he hit .298 (67-225) with 19 extra-base hits in 57 games with the Double-A Binghamton Mets.
