The Mariners came back into town with a vengeance Thursday night as they pounded the Kingsport Mets 11-3.
In the first of a three-game series, the Mariners took the reins from the beginning with hits from Jorge Agudelo, Larry Gonzalez, and Jetsy Extraño. Left-fielder Jose Rivero sealed the deal in the seventh inning with a three-run shot to left center.
Pulaski's starting pitcher, Jessie Nava, picked up the victory for the Mariners after an impressive five-inning performance. Following Nava was Michael Vitale, who pitched three perfect innings in relief. Mets outfielder Javier Rodriguez led the Kingsport offense with three hits for the night.
The Mariners will face off against the Mets again tomorrow night at 7:00pm.
