1) Shane Rowland
2-28-11: - http://bullpenbanter.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=388:college-baseball-weekend-02-observations&catid=18:articles&Itemid=11 - Player: Shane Rowland College: University of Miami Position: Catcher Bats/Throws: L/R Height/Weight: 5'10" / 180 lbs. Short with wide shoulders and room to add mass to his frame Looked OK at the plate; hit one hard line drive right at first baseman Probably should have stopped one of the two wild pitches, but solid job receiving overall Throw from ~4 feet behind the plate to second was poor (wild pitch); bounced and lacked velocity; only throw of the night
2) Matt Roberts
6-14-11: - http://baseballdraftreport.com/ - FR C Matt Roberts (2013)
.237/.310/.316 – 2 BB/10 K – 38 AB - If Stallings signs with the Reds — hardly a foregone conclusion as a 42nd round pick — then Roberts should take over full-time duty behind the plate in 2012. On paper he has everything you’d want in a young catching prospect: athleticism, above-average defensive upside, and good power.
3) Jared Bales:
7-7-11: - http://www.perfectgame.org/Articles/View.aspx?article=5988 - C Jared Bales - School: Southern Mississippi - Ht.: 6-3, Wt.: 225 - Hometown.: Picayune, Miss. - High school: Picayune - It wasn’t an incredibly deep year at the catcher position in this freshman class, but Bales put together a solid campaign. He batted .281 with nine doubles, two home runs and 20 RBIs. He also slugged .405 and had a respectable .408 OBP.
4) Alfredi Ramos:
7-6-11: - http://www.prospectwire.com/pw/article.php?id=268 - Alffredi Ramos, C, 2013 - Florida Diamond Pros (South FL Team) - Left handed hitting catchers are always in demand and the aggressive-swinging Ramos brings that rare toolset to the table. Ramos takes hacks at the plate, looking to drive the baseball - which will be even more demand as his aggressive offensive approach should transfer to gappers and bombs in the BBCOR game. Ramos has a mature, classic catcher's frame at 5'10/190. His body is built to take a pounding behind the plate and give out a pounding offensively. Ramos has the mixture of intangibles and toolset that you look for in a catcher such as confident body language, a durable frame, and a sub 2.0 pop time to 2B.
5) JaCoby Jones:
5-9-11: - http://bullpenbanter.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=417:college-baseball-weekend-12-observations&catid=18:articles&Itemid=11 -
Tall with long legs, a thin waist and well developed shoulders; some room to add muscle
Very good speed with big long strides; used to hit a pair of infield singles to SS; 4.05s home to first
Showed excellent athleticism in the field, leaped to bare hand a high chopper and threw a strike to first for the out

Hey coach...
All the info I post in these draft posts are cut and paste portions of either articles that have been written about players, or players that were ranked in a mock draft.

With over 325 players participating in the 2012 Under Armour Pre-Season All-America Tournament, powered by Baseball Factory, our scouts were treated to players from across the country that had many tools including sub seven second speed, sub two second pop time and above 89mph velocities. While we cannot honor everyone that attended we did want to highlight a few players that stood out.
The following are the Top 10 2013 Grads from the 2012 Under Armour Pre-Season All-America Tournament.
Alffredi Ramos | C | Hialeah, FL | Mater Lakes Academy
Alffredi is another young catcher who performed well out in Arizona. He has a sturdy build and a potent left-handed bat. His balanced approach leads to consistent solid contact and he shows power to all fields. Behind the plate, Alffredi is efficient – receiving well and showing an accurate arm with a quick release that is effective in controlling the running game. Catchers like this with left-handed power are always in high
