I May Be Wrong, But….

1. Are we missing the boat here on Jose Reyes? There were reports today that friends of his say that Jose would love to sign with the Angels. Are we all sure this guy shouldn’t be traded? I mean, I love the guy and I want him to be a Met until he goes to Cooperstown, but what if the Mets are all wrong here and all the team gets are two draft picks in an off-year?

2. The Mets need to do everything they can do to get a top outfield prospect for Carlos Beltran. The system is getting thinner every day. F-Mart’s on Cobra and Captain Kirk is gone through June of next year. Dominic Brown just makes so much sense here.

3. If you know someone just isn’t going to hack it as a starter (cough, Robert Carson, cough), shouldn’t you cut fish while the guy is still in the minors and get him into the pen to capitalize on his one-inning potential?

4. Has anyone ever actually seen a baby pigeon out of captivity? Go to the park, throw some nuts around… see… only grown up pigeons. Where are they? Is there a daycare nearby?

5. Are we supposed to be rooting for the Mets at this point of the season? Don’t you want all this speculation over with? Look, I still believe, but the Mets aren’t going to make the playoffs this year. Let’s weed out the team for 2012 and get three extra months to work out the new guys.

6. Would someone explain to me again why I can watch The Wheelhouse, The Loud Mouths, and the Pre-Game Show, but it’s necessary to black out the ball game, in South Carolina?

7. Did you notice Jason Bay begging TC to keep him in the game? He knows the Mets may never let him back in.
